How do I get the old Themes for iDVD?

To get iDVD for Lion you have to purchase iLife 11.

The "Old Themes" in iDVD are not installed when I installed iDVD recently with my iLife 11. I have tried to install and it says it needs to download by update. But then, it goes to the Mac App Store and, of course, it doesn't find it. How can I install them? Thanks.

It's a pitty Apple does not support this program any more as it is really a beatiful app. 🙂

Thanks a lot OT, but I have the same issue as mentioned in the thread you refer to. I beleive it has to do with the SW updates which are now within the Mac App Store, and iDVD is not in it. I have looked for a specific update in the support section, but haven't found it htere either. I understand that Apple does not want to continue updating a SW it does not believe in any more. But, at the end, I paid for that marvellous SW product with Snow Leopard and then with iLife '11. Thanks much though.

If you can get ahold of an iLIfe 08 or 09 disc you'll be able to install Themes from 1-4.

Thanks a lot OT. Do you know if I would be able to do it with the Snow Leopard discs? Or does it have to be specifically the CDs that only contain iLife 08 or 09? Thanks much again.

Well, what do you know! This afternoon when I got back home and started SW Update on my iMac, there was a new update for iDVD with all the old themes. To whomever has taken note and done it at Apple and to OT too: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! This is what makes Apple such an awesome and lovely company! 😍

I agree. I know of two people that have switched from Macintosh to Windows because of this issue.

I think that's saying too much. I would never go back to Windows. I just dream the day I can use a Mac at work too. I have to use a Windows PC all working day long and it's a piece of s*$£.
