HI
I want to drag a *lot* of images into a Page Layout and have Pages create enough pages to distribute them evenly.
I have no dead how many pages I'll need .... I expected to be able to add them to a page, the "Distribute Vetically" to have the app make as many pages as required. But it piles the images on top of each other!
Any Ideas?

Create a template with image placeholders.
You'll still have to drag the images on individually but it is quick and the layout will be sorted out already and you can create extra pages as needed.

In the end I went to PDF Pen (the app) dragged the images in, and it did just what I wanted. In case anyone else wants to know!!

I think what you are describing is turning multiple images into individual pages in a pdf.
Acrobat Pro does this as well.
Not quite what you described in your original post.

Well not necessarily one image per page .... if 2 fitted per page that would be fine. But I needed to avoid placing hundreds of images each onto a spot on a page. It would have taken hours.
I was hoping pages could didtribute the images for me across as many pages as required. I thought my question conveyed that. Sorry if I confused the issue though.
As it turnred out the result from PDF Pen was fine ...

It can be done if you make sure that the will be inline in a word processing document.
Open a WP blank template > position it to the left > Open the folder with the images and position it so you can see some of the Pages doc > select the images and drag the selection to the Pages doc WHILE holding down the Command key. You should a thin line lining the writing area. If you see a thicker blue line at the edge of the doc it will be floating images.
