@gmail change to @me

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some help. I registered my icloud account when it all first fired up in 2011... however silly old me I didnt register a new @me address but instead carried on using my @gmail address. So heres my issue... I would like to get an @Me address but being as Ive already registered my iCloud account under my @Gamil address I cant seem to get one. Does anyone have any ideas? this is really bugging me as I want rid of my old @Gmail address. Ive had a good look across the net but cant seem to find an answer.
