30 second rewind there on some books, missing on others. How can I activate it for all books?

Greetings all.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks while I drive. Many of my audiobooks have the 30 second rewind feature, while some don't. I love the feature and use it frequently.

I have tried to figure out a correlation between various Option settings in iTunes and this control appearing on my iPod Touch, but have not been able to do it. Does anyone know which option controls this feature, or is there something else that I am missing? Thanks.

iPod Touch, 3rd Gen.

iOS 5.0.1

iTunes 10.5.3

iMac

OS X 10.6.8

Thanks a lot! I have been looking for this information for months (off and on). Works perfectly. But why is it impossible to see this information on any Audible site?

Ush and hold the last track button. To go forward skipping push and hold the next track button.

Tap the artwork in the center of the screen. The 30 second rewind drops down as well as the slider for moving forward or back in the chapter. Tap the artwork again and it disappears. I just read something and figured it out. Quite the mystery when you get used to it and it disappears.

Thanks, all, but this has NOT helped.

I know how to get the button to show up when it is not there. My problem is that SOME of my audiobooks simply don't have this button to press. The rest of the bar is there with thiungs like repeat buttons, but no 30 second repeat button to press!

I think I found a solution to this. Right-Click on the file in iTunes, go to Get Info. From there, go to the Options tab. Set the "Media Kind" to "Audiobook." It fixed the issue for me. After syncing, you might have to leave the track and come back to it, but that should work. This is a Windows solution, but I bet if you explored, you could find the "Media Kind" field in Mac OS X as well.
