Do you really need telnet?
Nowadays we're supposed to use ssh instead.
Anyway, maybe this?

Alternatively, if you tell us why you think you need telnet, someone here might be able to figure out what you need to do.

Are you sure you really want to use telnet? It's safer to use ssh (assuming the other end also can use ssh). My understanding is that telnet is inherently unsafe. And for ssh you can just open a Terminal window and type the ssh command. And if you wish, type "ssh" or "man ssh" to find out what it's parameters are.
Several graphical interfaces are available free that you can use to store your logins and allow you to quickly execute the ssh command. All the ones I know then just open a Terminal window to execute the ssh session.
True, telnet is an open line so unless you are using some form of VPN on top of telnet is unsecure.
