Drafts keep appearing after mail is sent

Hello everyone, hope someone can help!

When I compose a new mail, during typing, before, sent, iCloud saves a copy in drafts. The problem I have is that, even after the mail is sent, that mail draft remain in the drafts folder, and of course, pushed to all my devices: MacBook Air, iPhone, iMac..

Even is not a life or death issue, it has become quite annoying to manually erase each draft for any mail I sent from iCloud.

This issue, I've been carring since MobileMe, my icloud account, is from a previous MobileMe I migrate to iCloud.

There is a good chance, the problem is caused by something I did, or set. But quite honestly, I have no idea how to fix it, or what prefernce should I remove

I found the answer on another thread. Go to Mail preferences and in each account under MAILBOX PREFERENCES unclick KEEP DRAFT ON SERVER. That did it for me.

I think you need to go into your account preferences for each email account you have and uncheck the "save drafts on server" in the advanced tab.

So everything sent to you is going into drafts? If that's it, make sure you haven't indavertently created a rule dictating that. Look in PREFERENCES/RULES. That's the only thning I can think of.

That's a solution of sorts. Unless, of course, you actually want to be able to start a draft on your Mac and resume it on another Mac and an iOS device. In that case, you may be stuck with the lingering drafts unless somebody has a better solution.

In that case,whiocvh may not be too often, email the draft to yourself.

I have a similar "Drafts" problem in that any emails I am receiving are arriving in my "Drafts" folder and not in my "Inbox" !! Anyone any idea why please?

Slightly different in my case though; my messages have been arriving in my Drafts folder upon receipt - ie no drafts even created in the first place to leave on the server!
