I am having a problem with my MacBook running OS X Lion. First off, my system was running 10.7.2 and when 10.7.3 was released alongside with Safari 5.1.3 and some others updates I was quite surprised to see that my software updater told me that no new updated was found.

I waited a few days but still nothing, and I have now manually updated to 10.7.3, but the updates is still not comming. It is a little bit of a problem, because I think it is a big project to maintain every aspect of the system updates all by my self, so I would be very happy to get it fixed.

Anybody who knows what the problem might be?

You might give this a try:

    Fix for Software Update

See Troubleshooting Automatic Software Update in Mac OS X.

    Delete the following files:

    • /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    • /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    • /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.xxx.plist where "xxx" is a number.
    • /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate/ (delete entire folder)

Argh, turns out that Safari 5.1.3 was apart of OS X 10.7.3, so after manually having applied the update my system is now up-to-date, so I can't test it before a new update is pushed out from Apple.

But thanks alot, always nice with help, and even when you responds so fast..
