Can an IPAD connect to Network Shares within an Server 2003 Active Directory Domain? If so how?

The iPad cannot natively connect to file shares. There are third-party apps that allow this, though. FileBrowser is one that is often recommended:

though there are others.

Using a Cisco ASA appliance and Cisco Anyconnect you can also access AD shares.
Ok so in the same context can an iPad log into an active directory domain? If so are there some thing out there I can look over? I have been reading things here on Apple but nothing concrete.

We've been impressed with Copiun. As Dave said, you can't join an AD domain, but through a product like Copiun, you can access a fileshare on them...
I enabled webdav on my file share and users can access their home folders from ipad apps that support webdav.
