Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 TV series) appears to be available on the iTunes store when I check from my iPhone or my Mac, but whn I try searching for it on my Apple TV nothing shows up. Anyone know what's going on here?
There are all manner of oddities like that. More so for rentals as AppleTV 2 only shows either SD or HD content and some things are not available in HD.
If you are planning to buy it, I'd just get it from iTunes and you should in theory then be able to stream it on AppleTV even if not downloaded from the cloud. Maybe buy a single episode to test? Assuming Complete My Season is active this shouldn't disadvantage you.
Thank you. Turns out the show is available to buy, the search function just won't bring it up. I had to buy an episode on my Mac, then go to Purchases on my Apple TV, find the episode, add the show to favorites, and then I could access it from the Favorites screen.

iTunes Store and AppleTV I think use different servers for browsing content - I may be wrong but whatever it is they are often inconsistent!
