Feb 3, 2012 6:02 PM in response to Kolucasby sheldonc,You shouldn't have any trouble. New iMacs come with Migration Assistant and downloading Windows Migration Assistant to your PC will help you move files from your PC to your Mac, include the syncing of your iPad and iPhone.
Here's an article outlining what Windows Migration Asstant is capable of:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4796
You need at least Windows XP SP3. None of your data on your PC will be deleted or changed in any way, so you will still have full access to all your data on your PC. Any files that Migration Assistant misses (because they are in somewhere other than an expected place) can be moved using a flash drive, CD or DVD.
Alternatively, you can purchase your iMac at an Apple store and with it purchase a One to One membership for $99. This includes the transfer of all of your PC files to the Mac, as well as a full year of in-store training.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Good luck!
