What is the compatible printer list for the Airport Express station? I have a Canon PIXMA IP6000D, will that work?

Can report that we've just gotten our Canon BJC 6500 and PIXMA IP4200 working fine with a new airport express.

However, I couldn't get my iMac to find my Laserwiter 320 connected with an iPrint with ethernet to the airport.

I'm assuming it's compatible being an apple printer and all. So I'm just currently running with the printer connected to the iMac directly and my ethernet cable modem running via the airport.

Thanks I will add them to the list.

Are you using WDS?

If not then the Airport Express' ethernet port is inactive.

What wireless router are you using? Is it another Airport?

I noticed that the Canon MP780 has been added to the list. My personal experiences as well as reading others' on these pages all point to an incompatible setup, unless directly connected to the computer itself (No Extreme). Do you have additional information that you think will make the Canon MP780 print via a network such as with an Airport Extreme? My continued (hopes) searches still find nothing.

About a month ago, I tried an HP Photosmart 3310 All In One with my set up which is cable modem going into a Linksys wired router, with AEBS running out of the Linksys. An assortment of Powerbooks and iBooks connect to the internet and to my HP PSC950 through this set up. My main computer runs Tiger, latest versions.

I got the 3310 and had a difficult time setting up but the problem was with the Apple software, not the HP. The reason i got the 3310 was that the PSC950 stopped working and i thought the problem was the printer, but now have learned that it was Airport software.

Once that was solved, the printer recognized the network and the powerbook could communicate wirelessly with the printer, it worked perfectly.

Unfortunately, and i don't know if this is a problem common to the printer drivers, or if it's idiosyncratic to my system, but sporadically and frequently, when i would give the print command, the printer would crash, the printer display screen would turn blue, the printer powered off, and when i pressed the power button, i got a message that said the printer had been improperly shut down.

HP tech support insisted this printer works with Macs and spent a long time with me on the phone trying many solutions, including re-downloading the drivers and reinstalling everything. Apple tech support gave me this link:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?dlc=en&lc=en&product=79488〈=en&cc=us &docname=c00501015

and i followed the 65 step procedure twice, but without success.
Sometimes the printer would print, other times, most often, it would crash, and this would be regardless of the program i was trying to print from. The error occurred whether wirelessly connected or directly by USB cable.

I was disappointed because it's a nice unit and the wireless communication was fine, but i returned it to the store and went back to using my old PSC 950. The salesman said he believed the problem was with the HP drivers.

I will also say that i was not able to use wireless faxing, but i was having so many problems with the printer that i didn't adequately test it.
