G3 Beige motherboard in a G3 Blue & White tower?

Thanks for the replies to my previous query re: G4 motherboards in a B&W. Here's another: Would a G3 beige desktop motherboard fit in a B&W tower?

The beige G3 motherbords are interchangeable between the desktop, Minitower, and the All-in-One.

I expect someone has put one in a Blue & White case, but more typical is putting it into a PC case (? ATX case?). The problem in either case [ugh, who writes these jokes] is that you have to hack a huge hole in the backpanel to accommodate the Personality Card, and nibble out the sheet metal to get all the ports lined up. Its really tedious, and for what?

Since you can buy a beige G3 tower case with working power supply for around US$25, and a whole working beige G3 for around $50, I am not sure what is motivating you to consider these complicated projects, when there are some simpler ones that could be more satisfying.
