Lock iPad setting

I do some work in a children's home in Asia and allow the kids to use my iPad for games.

So far the kids have been very responsible in not using anything else on the iPad. However rather than running into any problems in the future is there a way to lock the 'settings' option so that whilst the iPad can be used the settings cannot be changed without a password?
