Compound clips -> Multicam clips?

Ok, so I have a two camera shoot, lots of takes.

I had associated the takes from each camera together, synchronised them into compound clips, and marked a whole bunch of ranges across the compound clips of the good sections to use for editing. Basically, all the set up stuff prior to assembling the edit - a fair amount of work.

Then the day after I'd done all that of course FCPX 10.0.3 comes out with multicam which should make the editing/assembling process far easier - which I'd like to take advantage of.

So - is there a way of converting my compound clips (with the synced clips inside) into multicam clips, without just having to start that whole process again from scratch and repeat all that work? (which wasn't trivial). I've not found any way of doing it so far...

Or any other workflow suggestions to make the process easier?

Thanks,
