I am running the newest Lion and I need to repair my hard drive by booting into recovery option+r at boot. I deleted the partition I believe so any way i can get it back? Just so you know I can't partition my hard drive for boot camp because i cant repair my HD

I do not know and I dont have the reinstall disks, is there anyway i can store disk utility on a cd and boot from it to repair my hard drive?
You will need to reinstall Lion. Next time make a Lion Installer disk on a USB drive.

It is Command+r. Not Option+r
Try holding down Command+r.
your recovery partition is fine. You were using the wrong keyboard combo.
didnt work either and i got this but i cant get it to work on a 2GB flash drive
If you are trying to boot to a flash drive you need to hold down the Option key (all by itself) and that will bring up a Boot menu screen where you select the USB key to boot to.
Command+r only works to boot to the recovery partition on the internal hard drive.

YOU as a USER can not install the Lion Recovery HD (Partition) on your internal hard drive. The only thing that can install the Lion Recovery HD partition is Lion itself.
If you have a recovery hd partition already on the internal hard drive you can make a Boot USB stick that has all the recovery HD files on it that you can use to boot the computer and do maintenance or browse the web (get help from Apple or other places) or install (reinstall) Lion.
Have you tried the Command+r boot?
Have you tried the Option key boot?
If you have what do you get with both of those keyboard options?
If you haven't tried them PLEASE give them a try.
I tried them both and apple support suggested that i do that program. Also command r doesnt do anything and option key just gives me my hard drive
Have you run Software Update from the Apple Logo in the menu bar.
It will have a update of 1.4GBs, or there abouts, that will install the Recovery HD partition on your drive.
Many many times and it is the current version 10.7.something
OK try this.
Make sure you are connected to the internet. Best to use a Ethernet cable from your computer to your router and or modem.
Hold down the Command+r keys before you turn on the system, then hit the power button and do not let those key up until you see a world globe in the center of the screen.
It may take several minutes so just keep holding them down
That is the Internet Recovery feature. It is booting the system from the Apple servers.

diskutil list
Copy and paste what come up from that terminal command in a reply to this thread.
you can get the thumb drives from the apple store. i think it says it's for the MB Air, but im pretty sure it might work on any mac, like a SuperDrive!
