Problem exporting iPhoto pictures

Some of my iPhoto pictures come out as empty jpg files when I try to export them. However, they look fine in iPhoto. Any ideas?

iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

The files are corrupted. What you're seeing in the iPhoto Window are thumbnail previews. Restore from your back up.
