I have heard stories about Apple no longer including iDVD on some computers. If you don't have it and aren't happy about it, go to this web page and tell them:

Then call Apple Support and tell them you want a copy. It is not in the App Store so I don't know how you would obtain one.

If you are still within your 15 day return period, nicely explain that you may return the computer without iDVD. That usually does the trick.

Hi, I had the same problem! I bought an IMac a few weeks ago with no IWeb or IDVD bundled. Call Apple support & air your grievances (they'll be understanding but don't have the authority to do any more than that), then ask to speak to a senior advisor by requesting a callback (they pay the call charges). Explain your issue to the senior advisor & that should do the trick. Within a week I received a free copy of ILife 11. It worked for me & I know it has worked for others so it should for you (as long as you don't swear at them!)

It's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD. There hasn't been an update to either of those applicaitons since July 11, 2011.
