Problem with the filename of downloaded files
When i download file with russian title, i get ???????.pdf files.
How can I fix it?

It's just a basic file from my gmail. But it happens with all the files I'm downloading from internet, which are written in russian. And not only on 1 Mac.
Has it ever worked? If not, what did you change just before it started?
Have you added or removed any fonts lately?
Can you display the contents of Russian-language documents (not only PDF's)?

I didn't do anything. This happens from the very beginning of mac usage.
It's all great with the pages (as well as you've just sent). But when it come to the downloading the file in safari, instead of
- "привет.jpg" i get
- "??????.jpg"
And it really frustrates to rename every file after every download. 😕
Please follow the instructions on the page linked above to validate all fonts and resolve conflicts.
Hello, i have the same problem and i checked the page bellow. I do not see how this page can help to resolve a problem if it discribes the funcion of apple police.app
and we have a problem with font used in file name (or something like this).
The problem is not only for russian language but for some other files created via Windows
for exemple
Atout%20France_Roland%20Berger_Russia_ENG_for%20experts_v2_RUS.pdf (created via windows)
or
STATUTS%20SIGNES.pdf
(created via french windows, dowloaded via web outlook)
or
?????????? 1.JPG
(photo tooked on iphonesended via iphone mail.app with original name "фотография 1.jpg" to gmail and dowloaded via gmail to mac)
Can somebody help with this ?
