Q: Can I use my iMac I'm swizterland with just a Swiss. Power cord?, Can I use my iMac I'm swizterland with just a Swiss. Power cord?

I am currently living in Geneva Switzerland and I have brought my iMac from the US. Apple support told me just to buy a Swiss power supply cord and plug it in?

Has anyone ever done this before? I am sort of worried about the voltage difference but this may not be an issue?

Any advice would help me!

While you didn't say what year your iMac is, current iMacs can run on 100-240V ac, 50-60 Hz. iMac specs are at http://support.apple.com/specs/#imac

You'll be fine with just using a normal decent quality power cable. I've got a UK purchased Mac running in France with an off-the-shelf power cable and runs without any problems.

My iMac was purchased in 2010. so it sounds like it will be fine! I'm just nervous I don't want to ruin it! Thanks for the help!
