Q: all support pages are down

Over the last few days all redirects from apple go to dead links. Anyone else finding this? This is one I got from Apple themselves but it has been on dozens. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222?viewlocale=null&locale=null

I've had this same problem as well. I can see the cached versions in Google, so I know they're still out there, but I get one of two responses when I click through:

    1. a "Too many redirects" error and a URL with this paramter: viewlocale=null&locale=null
    2. An apple support 404 page - "This article no longer exists" - though the article always does still exist, because I can usually reload and see it on the original URL

I have tried both my ISP's default DNS settings and manually setting the openDNS servers, so I don't think it's a DNS handling issue.

I have also reset Safari, and I'm seeing this across several machines (all Mac's though) using different ISPs and networks.

BTW, this appears to be a Safari issue, because I'm not having the same issue in Chrome or FireFox.

As a workaround in the meantime, change the end string to this: ?viewlocale=en_us&locale=en_us  , replacing both "null" entries with "en_us"

Definitely Safari issue. Which is kind of strange. Seems to happen with any Mac I use. This actually started happening to me in early January, but sporatically. Any support page that was using a link provided by Apple would give me similar errors.
