Xcode Update

Xcode Update

I have gotten the latest Xcode (4.2.1) updated. I clicked on Install Xcode and installed it too. I can see 4.2.1 in the About Xcode screen, build 4D502.

However it still shows up in the list of updates in the Mac App Store. I updated it once again and installed. But it does not go away. Has anyone of you faced similar problems? I removed Xcode from my Purchases too. Even this it would not go away from the Updates screen.

Do I have to remove Xcode, redownload and install? Somehow, I do not have a feeling that it would solve the issue.

Do you possibly have either an older copy of the Xcode installer or an older version of Xcode installed on a connected backup drive? The MAS can see versions of apps on other drives and partitions.

Dah.veed,

Thank you. I did have a copy of previous Xcode installer in my hard drive. I deleted it and everything is fine now.
