I see the same thing sometimes. And it always says "You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake..." what's up with that? And it provides no means of how to go about doing so.
Can any one give advice on how to get to these posts.
This generally means that part of the thread violated the Discussions terms of use; that segment probably didn't contain anything with any technical value. If the hosts didn't email you about it, it's not your fault.

How do I get to the messages though, if we are not meant to get to the messages, then why has the discussion page got the hyperlink to go to the messages that aren't there ? 😕
You don't get to them. If you have subscribed to a thread you may get an email that has the post but when you click on the link you get the above message as the moderators have removed the offending post.

Because the email notification was sent out before the Moderators deleted the offending post.
I don't quite follow you Klaus. I cannot imagine an email being sent out, then followed by a decision to delete. Logic tells me to delete first. But I think the OP has two matters of concern ...
1. The phrase 'It appears you are not allowed etc' seems very provocative; and if that is the case I would have to agree with him (her).
2. 'You might contact your administrator' is a nonsense phrase in this context.
I'm not meaning to raise a discussion about good or bad English (or American, come to that). All the same, I think a more positive phrase would be better received all round. Like ... This post has been removed because ... and specify.
The email notification is an automated function that takes place a few minutes after posting.
Deletion of a post is not. That's why one can precede the other.
1. I agree. That choice of words needs changing.
This just happened to me in the community I was active in. It actually hurt my feelings. I thought I'd said something really wrong, but I didn't cuss or anything! I have no idea why they kicked me out. It was such a helpful community...
The community must follow rules set by Apple.
If your post concerned rumors about Apple products or software it will be deleted. If the post was asking for "jailbreak"help, it will be deleted. If your post is not a direct question, it will be deleted.
A link to the terms of use are posted at the bottom of this screen. Since you are confused why it was deleted, perhaps a thorough reading of them will help you -- not trying to be sarcastic or mean.
I have never been warned or deleted, but automated filtering has caught a few words I accidentally put into responses.
Thanks for the feedback on this. I didn't post any rumors, I don't know a durned thing about "jailbreaking," whatever that is, but not every post in that community, or on this one is a direct question. There are lots of responses. I did read the terms of use before I signed up for these communities, but I read them again. We were all throwing around different places, or sites, to move the Mobile Me Galleries to. I don't know... I can't imagine anything that I said wrong. There was a lot of disappointment and anger about the loss of the galleries in that community, and I was one of those. Maybe Apple doesn't like you to complain? Oh well... it is what it is, but thanks for the feedback. I'm sure it was good to do a "refresher" read of the terms in any case. Maybe from now on, I'll just read the posts for help, but not say anything! 😕
Continue reading, but learn the differences.
Opinion polls ("Does anyone else have a problem with Genius Bar??????!!!!!!" -- not the telltale poor punctuation) are disallowed.
Open complaints ("Genius Bar %^&#$%$ !!") are open for removal.
Some of the posts do "walk the line", that is true. But moderators do not like to interfere, and only do so with gross violations.
It may get confusing, but please do not simply avoid asking a question if you have a specific issue ... better to start with "highly resitricted" and learn slowly how to open up the reach of your postings than to hurt yourself by not asking anything.
And stay *very very* happily ignorant about "jailbreak", for both your personal life and life in this forum.
Ok. This is all very helpful, except it didn't run any opinion poll or say that anything was XXXX&^$$. I have read that many others have gotten this same message that I got, and someone said that if I'd done something really wrong, they would have emailed me to let me know I was in "trouble." I didn't get anything. But, it's ok. You've been nice to take this time. And I will stay out of jail! I'm 60 & have had ONE traffic ticket in my entire life. That's the extent of my crimes! Thanks again.
If you didn't get an email, then you did nothing wrong - the only reason your post was removed was because it was an answer to a post that was removed for a violation - think of it this way:
If I asked or offered a post about how to do something that's not legal and you post a response to me: your post makes no sense once mine has been removed..... so when an offensive post is removed, any posts answering that will be removed as well. The email however is only sent to the "offender".
So, again, as long as you did not get an email, get used to having some of your posts "disappear".....
Edit:
And, once posts have been removed, they are not retrievable - they are gone.
Thanks! It makes me feel better, because my own last posts are there. I just am not allowed to move on to the branched off to a new discussion thing. They didn't delete anything that I put up! But, maybe somebody else did and the whole discussion was discontinued. It was a LOT of bellyaching over Mobile Me Gallery loss, and people were grieving, angry, etc... A lot of people were actual photographers, etc. There was a lot of "try this site," "try that one, etc." So, with what you said, I feel like they didn't just kick me out for something I said. I hate it when I've done something creepy! I've read and re-read my posts & didn't do anything wrong. I made one sarcastic "Thanks Apple." comment, and maybe that did it. But, others have said FAR worse than that on that community. I'll let it go, but since I didn't get an email yelling at me, or kicking me out, I will stop worrying about it. I was afraid to ever post much again in any community. And, I'm going to need some help when I'm pushed to let go of the whole Mobile Me thing, and make the change. So, I'd like to be able to ask for help. I just have a lot to move around, and it'll take the time I have left until Mobile Me is killed off. You and Steve359 above have really helped and been very kind. Good folks out there... Thanks again.
