Q: how do I start a roll out of several iPhones?

Hello,

I have a question regarding a iPhone roll out in a company. I have the problem that I have to roll out 50 iPhones in a company.

So far so good. i have no problem with setup Exchange sync. But i don't know how I can install APPS.

I found the iPhone configuration tool. With that it sould be possible to install Apps. But what is the right way to put the apps on the iPhone. How do I download it and with what Apple ID? Do I need one for the company? And what will happen when a user is installing Apps with his private ID? Will this work?

Marco, I'd look at the VPP http://www.apple.com/business/vpp/. With the VPP you have one master Apple ID used for purchasing apps, then very device would have to have a unique apple ID to deploy the apps. You send a link to the target user via email they click on it and install the app. The VPP allows you to centrally manage app licensing, payment and deployment.

Thats exactly what I'm looking for but I think the VPP is not available in Germany :-(

You might also look at gifting the apps...

not sure if that is available offshore or not, or consider an MDM solution....most good MDM's seem to integrate application distribution with device management...
