I already contacted my provider (AT&T) and they said to inform Apple. I found other customers experiencing this as well while doing a search on the internet.
It's called Spam. File a complaint at www.donotcall.gov as well.
Oh really? Because I didn't realize it was spam even though that's what I posted as the subject of the post. My question was if Apple was aware and how to report it to them.
Apple has nothing to do with it and can do nothing about it. You did the right thing by notifying your carrier. Also be sure you notify the FCC through the donotcall.gov site. That's pretty much all anyone can do.
I find that hard to believe that Apple can do nothing about it or even doesn't care. Since it appears that at lease thousands of customers are getting this text I can't imagine why Apple's legal team would not want to get involved.

Well, they might care... no one here really knows.
