I am wondering whether anyone knows of an Aperture 3 plug-in that will give a jigsaw puzzle effect to photos?
I am not looking to create real or virtual jigsaws, just to give a photo the same effect as a completed one.
Yes, and I know it's very cheesy, before anyone tells me!

Searching for jigsaw effect aperture doesn;t find anything (except your post 🙂) so I'm going to go out on a limb and say there isn't one.
There were many tutorials for doing this in Photo Shop and in GIMP and I suppose a few other editors. Both PS and GIMP can be installed as external editors for Aperture.

I have neither PS nor GIMP, and I've searched a lot wider than just the Apple forums, so I suspect there really isn't anything available as an Aperture plug-in. Still, I live in hope.

Well GIMP is free and it does a lot of other things you might find useful. Might be worth a try.

It's not a very good image to see the effect on but you get the point. The procedure is a bit of a pain and if I were looking to do a bunch of these I might look for a more automated way.
But it does work.
