How to get the update for JAVA for Mac OS X 10.7.3? HELP

my java is not working due to me updating the system and then i called support to ask how to get the java update because it didnt automatically update and they wanted to charge me $49.

I dot understand I'm nnot having a problem with my computer I am having a problem with the fact that when they need to do an update they should hae EVERYTHING ready and already done not where i have to search for it.

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE
