I tried to restore my iPhone now its stuck on the itunes screen
iPhone 3GS
try hard reset holding sleep/wake button and power button until device powers off then then when the apple logo shows again let the buttons go...
"Hard reset" is not a term used in reference to iOS. The round button on the bottom of the iPhone is called the Home button, not the "power" button. The Apple logo can't show up "again" because it did not show up previously.
Otherwise, your instructions are almost correct...
Please explain what you mean by "stuck on the itunes screen" and we'll try to help.
hard reset is what i use everyday at work working to fix apple ios devices everyday

See Here...
Unable to Update or Restore
dcook122,
It seems that you just need to plug your phone into a computer with iTunes, so that it can activate. Currently only devices with iOS 5 can be used right-a-way without having to use a computer to activate. It seems that after you restored your system, the phone is trying to ask you to plug it into a computer with iTunes.
Since you have an iPhone 3GS, you could consider upgrading it to iOS 5.
Good luck,
cwdlin
I'm sure you are, but there is no such thing as a "hard reset" in Apple manuals. It's called just a "reset."
Don't mean to give you a hard time, but it avoids confusion if we all try to use the proper terminology.

There's no such thing as a "hard" reset, or a "soft" reset for that matter. It's simply a "reset". You can consult Apple's documentation if you choose to verify this.
