Q: After updating to 10.7.3 WiFi does not reconnect after waking up from sleep

I bought my iMac 21" i5 late 2011 before christmas, and it came with 10.7.2 and never had any problem with WiFi, but last week I installed the 10.7.3 update via the Software Update menu under Apple logo, the update was about 500~600mb.

Now I leave my iMac turned on and after when I come back it slept, I click on my magic mouse like I always do, it wake up, but the WiFi is disconnected, if I click on the WiFi icon, it is acctually not turned off it says on first item Wi-Fi: On, and show my Wifi network and others, it is just not associated. It I click on my network it connect and everything works. But this is really annoying me.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Bought my Mac Book 2 weeks ago after years using Windows. WiFi unreliable from the start but since installing Lion 10.7.3 I've got no WiFi at all. Apple support tell me this is a 'Known issue' (you don't say!) and I'll just have to wait for a software update to solve the problem. To say I'm dissapointed, both with the original problem, and the poor response from support, would be an understatement!

I agree. I have three machines, 2 x imacs (different years) and 1 air. After upgrading to 10.7.3 I now have three seperate issues, one of which is listed above. I seem to be getting farther and farther away from "it just works...."

There seems to be several "versions" of the problem. In my case (21,5" iMac, late 2011, and i7) the issue is that it does not automatically connect to my wifi after waking-up, When I connect it manually, it will stay rock-steadily tuned for the rest of the day. No drop-outs or other problems.

But now I noticed a peculiar thing: This morning I waked it up by pressing the power-switch on the back, and not by striking the key-board (USB-version) as I normally do. And what happened? It connected to the wifi without any problem! Quite interesting.

By the way: I have no other issues with my 10.7.3.

A WiFi update for the iMac has just been released. This has fixed the problem for me.
