Aperture and Camera RAW updates???

How often (and how) does Apple release Aperture updates so that it can work with the RAW files from newer cameras?

(Just curious because I am looking to get a new camera soon, but the first new camera since I switched to a Mac and Aperture.)

Thanks,

Steve

Sorry but it seems random to me. Even an important camera might be a month or it might be a year. Perhaps it has to do with how difficult it is or is not to sort of reverse-engineer the individual camera's RAW conversion.

RAW-support camera upgrades are in the OS, not to Aperture per se.

IMO it is dumb for Apple not to make every effort to support important new cameras much more quickly than they do, because Adobe gains share when Apple is slower than Adobe.
