my iPhone 4s screen suddenly went black and doesn't want to turn back on

HOld down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release. Wait for you phone to boot back up.

i did the same.. but to no response.. my iphone is still black but i can hear SIRI

You dont need to see anything to do a restore. Follow the procedures properly.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes

1. Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2. If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3. If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

says.. it cannot restored.. 1656 error but the number is not on the list 😟😟😟

then do a search for error 1656 at the top right of the forum, look for the green check mark.

now it did sync to itunes.. i can browse on my pc & yet the iphone itself is still black.. i tried long pressed of power & home at the same time.. but not yet.. dont leave me till it get fixed.. thnx

Does your screen look like its cracked?

no, but i found moist on the camera's (back & front) i just put on protective screens, does it affect on how hard they pressed on the screens?
