Delivering content to iTunes Store without iTunes Producer

Hello!

We are developing a programm for our customer, allowing him to deliver content (Music) to various Music Stores (f.e. Napster, 24/7, iTunes, etc.).

The whole software is developed for Windows PC´s, on .NET 4.0 (C#).

The programm converts media files into the proper format those stores want to have, and also creates an XML containing metadata. Finally it delivers/transports those packages (media files, metadata.xml) to the Stores, mostly by using SFTP.

This programm already works well with all Stores, except for iTunes.

We managed converting the media files into the right format (.caf) and also creating an XML metadata file. Also our programm packs those files into an *.itmsp package. So basically we are trying to imitate the functions of the iTunes Producer on a Windows machine.

When we open the *.itmsp packages created by our programm with the iTunes Producer, the iTunes Producer shows no errors (that means, the format of the media and the metadata file are correctly generated). Also sending those *.itmsp packages via iTunes Producer, to the iTunes Store was successful.

Now, we are stucked at the point, that we have absolutely no clue about how to manage the transfer of the *.itmsp packages via our programm, to the iTunes Store. All we know is that the iTunes Producer has an opportunity of choosing the transfer method as prefered. You can choose between "Aspera, Signiant and DAV". Also we have a complete list of servers and ports where the iTunes Producer connects to.

We are concentrating on the DAV method right now, but facing big problems due to little to no information about how to do it right. This is because the iTunes Producer is meant to handle generating the package and transfering them to iTunes Store. But our customer wants an All-In-One Solution for all avaible Stores on the market, because he has a huge collection of media to deliver. All other Stores have been no problem and we already can deliver content to them cause SFTP was easy to implement and use.

I really hope there is a solution to this. Any ressources to help me get further with this are welcome.

kind regards
