error code -1303. what can I do to fix this?

My father bought a used ipod classic 80G 2 days ago. I hooked the ipod up to my itunes and restored it. As i was loading music to it, I realized that the music was not loading and I got a error code -1303. I restored the ipod again, same thing happened. I reformatted the ipod and then restored it again and now it let me add 6G's to it but it won't let me add more. Now i'm getting error code -53 and error code -1303. What is this and how can I fix it? Please help!
