Hello,
I'm trying to remove items that start-up when I turn on my computer. I was told to go to "System Preferences" then the "Accounts" folder.
When I open my System Preferences folder, I do not see an "Accounts" folder.
Please help.

Thank you Limnos. This icon is called "user and groups" in my system preference folder. Is it the same as Accounts?
Yes, but that term sounds like it is System 9, not OSX. However, I now see you are using 10.7 and not 10.4 which is the forum in which you posted, so maybe they changed it back.
Yes, the name was changed in 10.7.x 😟
Click on the Login Items tab, highlight the item you do not want to start, then click the little minus icon below.
