Feb 8, 2012 2:15 AM in response to kevinjameshughesby shldr2thewheel,You can change the DVD region, but after you change it the 5th time, it will permanently stay locked on that region: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2397. You can purchase an adapter for the plug and you will be fine. No need to worry if there is a difference in voltage at the power sockets, macs have built in auto switching: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1981.

Feb 8, 2012 4:51 AM in response to kevinjameshughesby Cattus Thraex,It will work anywhere in the world. The power adaptor covers voltage from 110 to 240 V, you may at the worst need a socket adaptor, which is a tiny $ 1–2 item. yes, you will change DVD region, but you may do that 5 times, if not wrong.

Feb 8, 2012 6:33 AM in response to kevinjameshughesby noondaywitch,Kevin, if you don't want to splash out on the Universal Adapter kit, you can use a standard figure-of-eight power lead as used for radios, CD Players and a whole lot of other electrical/electronic devices.
Most electrical stores should be able to get a spare, or you can just borrow one from another unit.
