appleworks quits when trying to print?

Appleworks 6.2.9 quits when trying to print a document on my imac G5 running OS 10.6

Install version 1.1 of the Security Update 2012-001. BTW, if you're running Mac OS X 10.6, you have an Intel Mac, not a G5.
