Pixelated text in FCPX
In FCPX I have added text (within FCPX) and when I view full screen it is horribly pixelated. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? Thanks

What format video are you working in?
Can you post a screenshot?
SD DV Looks fine in the timeline viewer but full screen it goes bad.
How big is your screen? DV is 720x480 pixels. My laptop is 1680x1050 pixels. You're blowing up the pixels to a huge size.
It's a 21" imac. Do you mean that FCPX is not capable of clearly readable text any larger than what the viewer in the timeline affords? Would creating the titles & text in Motion cure that? Portions of this program will be seen on large screens. Can't imagine what the text would look like on a large screen...
The problem is the format you're working in. It's a restricted size. How are you going to get it onto the large screen? Playing it off a computer, full screen, mirrored through a projectior? It's going to look pretty poor. If you play it on a large screen television set, it should look fine. As fine as heavily compressed, standard definition media can look on an HD screen.
It has nothing to do with the text. Making it in Motion will not make it any better.
Thanks. We did this a couple of years ago and didn't have an issue with the titles becoming so pixelated. What did people do using FCP before there was HD footage? Would uprezzing the SD footage help?
Again. can you post a screen shot of what you/re seeing? Have the titles been rendered? Uprezzing will only help if you use hardware. I haven't seen any good software upres.
