I know I can go to my cell phone bill and see a phone number where messages were sent and received from on phones on my account whether they have been deleted or not. How can we see the same information on iMessages? I am trying to track a possible cheating spouse and the iMessage makes that very difficult with him deleting text messages. Help! I do not want to be a fool!!!

You need to set your iPhone as a new device to retrieve deleted imessages. A prompt of the Setup Assistant will pop up. Just follow the steps below.
1: Ensure that your iPhone is connected with Wi-Fi and plugged into the charger.
2: Tick the selection of Restore from iCloud Backup.
3: Sign in your iCloud account.
4: Locate the latest backup and restore it to your iPhone.
5: Enter any passwords required during the process.
6: When the recovery is over, you can check your iMessages on your iPhone.
Apple provides no such option with iMessages.
Sorry, with iMessage, once it's deleted it's gone. The only way to view these deleted messages would be if they were still part of the iPhone backup. Of course this assumes that the phone is regularly backed up & has not be synced since the messages were deleted.
Any idea if there is an app to track what is done on the phone?
There are no apps for a non-jailbroken iPhone.
UGH!!!!! I can't believe with parents needing to keep up with their kids that Apple doesn't come out with one. They continue to make it easier and easier for kid or cheating spouses to do things and not get caught. 😠

If you use your husband's Apple ID(you'll need the password as well), for iMessage, on your phone(assuming you have a iPhone), you will get a copy of every iMessage he sends, as well as any responses. Of course, you'll have to be very careful, because any messages YOU send, as iMessages, will also appear on his phone 😎.
Would messages I receive also appear on his phone as well? This is a major flaw in the system
Yes, and no it isn't - not when using the same Apple ID. This is by design and intention for someone with an iPad and iPhone to keep iMessages synchronized with each device. I'm using the BETA version of Messages for a Mac on my Mac and my iMessages are kept synchronized between my Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
So now I have a question... Will two different iPhone 5 models receive the same iMessage if they are logged in with the same apple Id and passwords but different phone numbers?
At Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, you need have the same phone number and/or email addresses selected under "You can be reached by iMessage at:".
