My mac is in 10.7.3 version and facing the shut down and boot up time slow.
Any softwares of anything that affects that ?
Any recovery or ideas to fix ?
System description :
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
Storage for the HD left 310.77GB.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
In my case, both Dropbox and Cinch, configured to auto start, have caused delays in startups and shutdowns.
Try removing other 3rd party suspects from your Login Items.
Also, Try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk. You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Repair reports and if DU was able to repair them. This could just be a start in repairs and you may need a better utility to finish the job.
Then Repair Permissions.
No need to report any Permissions errors........we all get them.
