MAC and *.AVD Files & Players

I have a very crucial and important video disc for a legal trial. It was formatted to be used with an AVD player. I viewed the file footage several times and then the first few scenes disappeared and I desperately need to retrieve them. Can anyone help!! It was a proprietary video (police) and can't be altered. I only want to see the whole video again....I lost the footage when we played it on our office PC

Shootist007,

Thanks for the reply and information, I have tried rebooting and running it on other Computers. I run VMWare and Windows XP Pro on my Mac...The AVD Player is Windows based and it worked for about 10 plays and showed all the footage....then it stopped. Hopefully since no one messed with the disc, the information is still on there....I will try the VLC Media player....Hope it works.... Again, Thanks
