scanning with epson workforce 4530

I purchased an Epson Workforce 4530 all in one ptinter. Using this machine, so far, is less than an all in one experience with OS Lion. I seem to be unable to fax from my computer, and scanning from the computer via wi fi connection requires I use Image Capture, rather than the Epson software. Using Image Capture to scan multi page documents is less than desirable as it scans each page as an individual image/file. Has anyone come up with a better solution?
