Bootcamp: Does it cost anything to install?

Do you have to pay for the windows operating system? i.e Windows 7?


Truth be told i was wondering whether i could play Pc Game (meant for windows) on a mac and was thinking whether Bootcamp would let me?


Any replies would be awesome;

Wine based solutions (Crossover, Wineskin, etc..) are good for certain games, but can take a lot of extra work. If your into this sort of thing, it can be fun... if you don't care about the OS and just want to game... yes you use Windows like any other PC.


Bootcamp is a utility that helps you install Windows 7 (which you have to legally own, a.k.a. buy) so that you have 2 OSes on your machine set up as a dual boot... Mac OS X and Windows 7. When you choose to start the machine up in Windows 7, its just like any other Windows PC and can run all the same software any other Windows PC can.
