Is there a way to display the cursor position in the ruler for aligning text?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)
How have you tried so far to align text? Usually text is aligned when writing in the text layer of a word processing document.
What kind is it? List Tabbed?
To align text use tabs. Don't hammer away at the spacebar.
Tabs set the text to align exactly at that point. You get tabs by simply clicking on the ruler and then right clicking on those to change from left aligned to any of the alternate types ie left, right, centred and decimal.
Spaces are not fixed sizes and vary, so will quickly end up a mess.
