EndNotes won't accept Pages
Pages '09-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Click on Next! You are not using it for Office but for Pages.
I did, and it says it's installed, but it's not in Pages, so I don't understand what's wrong. I've installed the plug-in from Mac and everything...
Are you sure it is not in Pages?
1. You do have Pages '09 v 4.05 or later (required)?
2. You have installed the Plugin? :
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1334
3. You have purchased EndNote? from:
http://www.endnote.com/enpurchase.asp
It will have a contextual menu item when you go to add a footnote. Do you not see it?

I notice you do not have any text in your document as you access the menu.
An EndNote has to be associated with text. Try typing something then see if it appears in the menu with your cursor in the text.
Also this only works in the default text area (between the margins) of Word Processing documents.

I typed in a quote that I wanted to cite and still did not have that option under "Insert", I also checked under "Edit", but there is no choice below "Writing Tools" in my drop down menu. I tried taking another screenshot to put with this response, but the file size was too large. It basically just showed that I had a quote typed in, and both drop down menus still did not give me an EndNote citation option.
Have you really installed Endnote? I will try the process again as I have deleted it. You have to double-click on the EndNoteX5Installer.dmg and then move the Endnote folder to your Application folder. Restart Pages and you should find menu options in both the Edit and the Insert menus.
That's what I think is my problem. I don't think it's actually installing it the way it's supposed to. That's what my intial question was about. Each time I've tried to install it, it says that it can't find Microsoft Word, and never gives me the option to choose Pages as my program. I clicked "Next", however, in the box in my first posting here, and it will tell me it was "Successfully installed". However, in my applications folder, the only EndNote is a folder titled "EndNote Web", with "ENWeb_Installer" application, "Cite While You Write" folder containing two .bundle files, a "Readme.txt", and a "XML Support" folder with an .xml file inside.
You don't get an option to look for Pages. It only asks for MS Office. Just let the installer do its work. You will have to add a licence key if you got one. Restart Pages otherwise to get the Endnote options in the menus. Did you check it out??
You should have the Endnote X5.app in the folder too. You didn't move it out of the folder, did you?. This is in the folder:
I just saw that you have Endnote 3. HAve you checked that it is compatible with your Pages?
