Whenever your phone is synced and iTunes recognizes there are new crash reports, a program called MDCrashReportTool sends these reports to Apple. Apple then funnels the reports to the correct app developer's iTunes Connect account. No personal information is transmitted.

Really?
Then figure it out yourself. You never mentioned this in your initial post, and I'm not a mind reader.
Not very helpful. How do I correct the problem so that I can backup my Ipad and Iphone?
Misunderstanding... you cannot do anything about the popping up of mdcrashreporttool.exe. If you do not have any problems on your iPad, there were crashes that solved itself. If you HAVE problems on your iPad DESCRIBE THEM HERE, as w said no mindreaders here đ. Do not argue with a forum member who is trying to help , that is leading nowhere.đ
The pop-up I get is to inform me that the CrashTool has stopped working. The sync is paused until I close the CrashTool program and then the sync continues. After this my iPad will complete a WiFi sync or two and then lose its' connection with iTunes.
I've tried about everything I can find on ioTunes help and the discussion forums. Additionally, I have restored my Windows PC to it's factory conditions, started over, and re-installed iTunes. I still have the same problem.
The mystery for me is that my iPad synced flawlessly (Wifi and USB) for almost 11 months before this. It is in the last month or so that my difficulty started.
This is happening to me and I think it started when I upgraded to 11.0.1.12
