Q: Keychain password incorrect

I set a keychain password 2 days ago. I know exactly what I entered, and it's all lowercase, but it says "incorrect password". I would like to reset it back to nothing (no password) like it was before. How can I override this mess? I have a G5 and OS 10.58. Thank you!

Hi Joanne,

See if this helps...

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

Thank you. That worked. The bad keychain was also messing with my external Time Machine drive which is connected over the network. All is well now.

Hello. I changed my password of my mac a few days ago because i forgot it. And now, every time I open my laptop, it keeps asking me a login keychain password. I tried to put any password i knew in my mac but it still doesnt work. Can you help me with this? When i tried to change the password, it says to review my information again..

What version of OSX are you running?
