Connecting a Time Machine disk on a network

I have a 1 TB external Time Machine drive connected by USB to a G5 (10.58). Time Machine works fine on the G5. Now I want to connect 3 MacPros (10.72) that are on my network to the Time Machine disk for their backups.

The other users can "see" the Time Machine disk as a sharepoint, but when they try to select it as their Time Machine disk, it does not show up. It only shows devices connected via Airport, which we cannot use due to security policy.

File sharing is on, AFP is selected, permissions are wide open read/write. Help!

I hope so too, because that link has instructions that are for supergeeks and uber Mac techies only. I'm only a beginner geek. Thanks for responding, and stay tuned.

FYI to anyone else having the same issue. The problems with connecting to my Time Machine drive began when I tried to setup a Keychain passoqwrd on my shared G5. Once I reset the Keychain password again, the problem went away. Now I can backup again as can my network-mates.
