Stuffit Expander disabled

Somehow I can't unstuff compressed files using my previously installed Stuffit Expander 4.5 after installing OS 8.5 and then 8.6. on a Performa 6360 with 104 mgs RAM. Usually this means you've got an extension turned off, but after making sure I had the Stuffit engine and the stuffit power plug turned on in the extensions list it's still not unstuffing.....it decodes files, like it decoded a particular compressed file from an hqx file into a .sit file but it won't unstuff. It worked fine before which gave me the suspicion that maybe SE 4.5 won't work with 8.6 though in the read me's for it say it works in OS 8. I know stuffit classic 7.0.1 works with OS 8.6 and 9 but this performa only has(had actually...I removed it for midi purposes) a 28K modem and the browser is so outdated that you can't go on the internet with it. I can't transfer any files from my IMac unless it's on Floppy and of course the file's are too large. So I guess I'm trying to figure out how to update stuffit .....but I don't know anyone with a Mac?
Anyone out there in the Boston Area willing to download and send me a CD snail mail?

IMac Rev.A Bondi, Mac OS 9.2.x, 233mhz., 384mgs RAM

Actually if you look in the readme file it should mention that there's a copy of StuffIt Expander included on the Mac OS 8.5 CD-ROM in the Apple Extras folder. Open the Apple Extras folder then open the Software folder, & finally the Aladdin Systems folder. Inside you should find a folder labeled StuffIt Expander 4.5 with a installer for the version of StuffIt Expander that was current when Mac OS 8.5 was released. If nothing else works you can order a free CD-ROM that includes older versions of StuffIt Expander on it by filling out a form on Allume's Download page with you only paying for shipping.

Looked in the Disk extras folder......no Stuffit Expander 4.5, looked all over the disk actually and it's not on it. Don't know why that is. I looked on the Allume website and while I could find the download for SEClassic 7.0.3....I couldn't download it....for some reason...and can't find the online form you mentioned to order the disk. If you know where that is could you send me a link?
Appreciate the help.
