I have been trying to download Lion for the past week, and I have been getting the following error everytime I sign in with my Apple ID:
'We could not complete your request.
There was an error in the app store. Please try again later (4).'
Does anyone know what is causing this error?

A firewall? Anti-viral software?
Tried it with firewall off.. same message.
The app Little Snitch can prevent downloads if you have that installed.
And try resetting your Apple ID password > Apple - My Apple ID
Do not have Little Snitch installed. And resetting did not help I'm afraid. Can't seem to figure out the reason for this error.
Same problem here. I have just created an Apple ID account (for the first time), but have the same error when trying to buy Logic Pro 9. I can download free games, though. I would like to figure it out too.
I contacted Itunes Support, and they fixed something with my account. It was fast. I just bought and downloaded the app I needed. Best regards.
