Hacker uses my OS X Lion Version

Hi,

I just realised that some other person is using my Mac OS X Lion Version. Or at least, I think he does.

When I open the Mac AppStore, it tells me next to the Installed OS X Lion, that there is an update available although I had updated my Mac just before. When I click on it, it tells me: "Es sind Updates für andere Accounts verfügbar - Melden Sie sich bei daniel.sowden an, um die Programme für diesen Account zu aktualisieren."

In English:

"There are updates available for other accounts - Log on to daniel.sowden to update the programs for this account."

I have never heard about this Email address before, so I checked on Google and found out that this guy is some hacker dude from the UK. daniel.sowden

SO my question is now, what can I do and what should I do???

Thank you for your answers!

Try logging out of the App store and logging back in with YOUR Apple ID and password.

The only reason that I can think of for his App store account to show up on yout Mac is if he somehow hacked your computer. And that is very unlikely.

Hi,

thanks for that fast answer.

I'm not sure if its unlikely that sombody hacked my Mac. Two days ago, a friend of mine installed a Firefox Proxy-Plugin that I can watch YouTube videos, which are blogged in germany. Now I know that those plugins are a good entering site for hackers. So now I guess, somebody used that to enter my mac?

I deleted all that stuff now, changed my password, but this account still appears. Should I contact the apple support?

You should contact the Mac App Store support. Different from Apple Mac computer support.

Don't post your e-mail address in a public forum. They can use that against you. Don't let people mass e-mail you with your e-mail address bundled with others. Tell anyone who must mass e-mail you to use BCC, instead of CC. Make sure your Mac App Store password is secure with no birthdates, vowels, or words in any languages. I doubt your machine was hacked. It is more likely someone snooped on your e-mail address, figured out your password and logged into your account themselves. Edit: I've requested a moderator edit your post.
