Hey there, Logic Users!
I noticed that some of the Mainstage sounds are not too shabby and I would like them to load into Logic Pro.
Since my external soundcard is pretty much fried, I wanted to know if there's a way to rewire Mainstage into Logic Pro using the internal soundcard that the iMac provides? 🙂

Mainstage and Logic share exactly the same plugins, channel strip settings and the like (with the notable exceptions of Playback and Loopback, which are only available in Mainstage).
There should be no need to attempt to hook up Mainstage to Logic simplly to load any sounds into Logic. Save the plugin presets or channel strips in Mainstage, and then Load them in Logic.

thanks for your answer. Sorry that it took me so long to respond. I've been very busy.
Now, how do I go about saving the Channel Settings (incl. the plugs and settings). In what folder would I find them if I opened up Logic?
I've used Logic since the Emagic days, but have still yet to learn the basics with Mainstage. 😠

Hi
Channel Strip Settings can be saved (in both applications) by click+holding on the 'Settings' button at the top of a channel strip, and selecting 'Save C Strip Setting as...'.
Once saved, you can load them (in either application) via the same drop down menu.
